Please note the column does lean slightly to one side when on display On offer is this lovely antique single candlestick. It's in good condition overall, the remaining silver plate shines up well still - notable loss however all over exposing the base copper metal as well as blackened tarnish build-up in all grooves; notable scuffs & scratches commensurate with age but as shown all adding to the aged charm & character of the piece. It's of traditional form, beautifully decorated with vertical grooves & lined border edges which display ever so well still. The original sconce is present, similarly decorated. The base retains its original weight (please refer to images) - Please note no baize cover is present for furniture protection . Marked around the base edge with a palm of hand trademark for Watson & Son of Sheffield, circa third quarter of the 19th century. The base of the capital is marked with a fleur de lys & 1474B. It measures a decorative 24.2cm (9 & 1/2 inches) in overall height - please note a candle cannot measure more than 24mm in order to fit!
