On offer is this lovely collectible creamer / milk jug. It's in good condition overall, the silver plating shines up well still - numerous notable dents however over the exterior which catch the light as well as notable scuffs & scratches commensurate with age; there is also notable solder residue around the top join edge of the spout (please refer to images) & extensive ware to the applied border edges exposing the base Britannia metal (dark grey) but as shown all adding to the aged charm & character of the piece. It's of traditional form, beautifully decorated with applied border edges showing rococo inspired floral sprays which display ever so well still despite the evident ware. The interior shows faint traces of original gilding & also features a charming heart-shaped opening for the spout. Notable darkened specks present however. Unmarked for a maker, circa third quarter of the 19th century. It measures 17.7cm (7 inches) handle to spout end, by 11cm (4 & 1/4 inches) in outer top diameter, by 80mm in height to the top of the handle & despite the condition issues raised is ready to be collected & enjoyed once again!
