On offer is this lovely vintage three piece tea set comprising a teapot, sugar bowl & creamer / milk jug. They're in good condition overall, the remaining silver plate shines up well still - notable small & large areas of ware however all over them exposing the base nickel silver (brassy tone) as well as light scuffs & scratches commensurate with age but as shown all adding to the aged charm & character of the set. They're of traditional form, plain in design yet elegant in appearance. Decorated with a shaped top edge & supported by four charming feet which display ever so well still. The teapot retains its original brown handle - which is still securely in position with no 'wobble' - & wooden lid finial. The insides shine up well still despite the evident areas of ware. Marked on the maker Israel Sigmund Greenberg, circa second quarter of the 20th century. The creamer jug measures 16.5cm (6 & 1/2 inches) handle to lip end, by 8.8cm (3 & 1/2 inches) by 9cm (3 & 1/2 inches) in outer height including the feet & to the top of the handle. The sugar bowl measures 19.5cm (7 & 3/4 inches) handle to handle end, by 9.8cm (almost 4 inches) by 10cm (4 inches) including the feet & handle tops. & the teapot measures 28cm (11 inches) handle to spout end by 14cm (5 & 1/2 inches) by 16cm (6 & 1/4 inches) in outer height to the top of the handle. A delightful 'chic' set ready to be collected & enjoyed once again! The postage quote is for Tracked Airmail.
