On offer is this lovely small antique creamer / milk jug. It's in good condition overall, the silver plating shines up well still - notable ware around the inner sides & etched decorations exposing the base Britannia metal (dark grey) as well as light scuffs & scratches commensurate with age; there's also a small shallow dent to one side which catches the light but as shown all adding to the aged charm & character of the piece. It's of traditional form, beautifully decorated with Aesthetic floral sprays & charming butterflies in flight - the detailing is of a good standard which displays ever so well still. The inside area shines up well - it may have been gilded originally as very faint traces remain in places. Sheffield produced by James Dixon - the size 1/4 is also present -, circa late 19th century. It measures an absolutely charming 9.5cm (3 & 3/4 inches) handle to lip end, by 7cm (2 & 3/4 inches) maximum outer body width, by 7cm (2 & 3/4 inches) in outer height to the top of the handle. A delightful table addition ready to be collected & enjoyed once again! The postage quote is for a Royal Mail tracked & insured postal service.
