On offer is this truly stunning antique sprinkler / casting / dredging spoon. It's in good condition overall, the silver shines up well still & there are still very faint traces of original gilding over the bowl - light scuffs & scratches here & there commensurate with age but as shown all adding to the aged charm & character of the piece. It's of traditional form, the bowl beautifully decorated with a raised fruit design & crimped edging - there are also a series of small scroll-shaped holes perfect for sifting & dredging. The handle has been beautifully decorated with a striking rococo influenced floral scroll design which displays ever so well. Please note that originally this would've been plain in design - the patterns & raised fruit were added in the Victorian era Fully hallmarked on the reverse for London, 1827 & the maker William Chawner II. It measures 18cm (7 inches) in total length & weighs 57.7g. A delightful traditional antique ready to be collected & enjoyed once again!
