Description
On offer is this lovely collectible canteen of cutlery. All items are in good condition overall, the stainless steel (blades) & silver plating shine up well still - there are a few small areas of ware around the back of the spoons & forks exposing the base nickel silver (brassy tone); notable light scuffs & scratches over them too commensurate with age but as shown all adding to the aged charm & character of the set. There are forty three items in total which include: 6 x Knives measuring 24.2cm (9 & 1/2 inches) in length, 6 x Knives measuring 22cm (8 & 3/4 inches), 6 x Forks measuring 21cm (8 & 1/4 inches) in length, 6 x Forks measuring 18.5cm (7 & 1/4 inches), 6 x Dessert spoons measuring 18.2cm (7 & 1/4 inches) in length, 6 x Soup spoons measuring 17.7cm (7 inches), 6 x Teaspoons measuring 13.2cm (5 & 1/4 inches) in length, & 1 x Serving spoon measuring 24.5cm (9 & 3/4 inches) - Please note this spoon is not original to the set - originally there would've been two table spoons . They're of traditional form, beautifully decorated with the Kings pattern which shows on both their sides. The spoons & forks are unmarked for a maker, the knives are marked for Smith Seymour of Sheffield, circa fourth quarter of the 20th century. They all come presented in their original fitted canteen which is also in good order - notable scuffs & scratches particularly over the exterior. A lovely vintage canteen of cutlery ready to be collected & enjoyed once again! Please note that due to the overall weight & size of this lot a tracked (and insured) courier service will be used for delivery Many thanks for viewing my shop, all items are open to offers & I do combine postage :-) Vintage Canteen Of Cutlery, Silver Plate, Six Settings, Spoons Knives Forks, Kings Pattern, Smith Seymour, Dining Room, Unique
