On offer is this lovely elegant sugar bowl & jug set. It's in good condition overall, the silver plating shines up well still - slight thinning over the exterior as well as notable ware to the inside base of the sugar bowl exposing the base nickel silver (brassy tone); notable light scuffs & scratches all over them commensurate with age as well as specks of darkened verdigris to the sugar bowl (please refer to images) but as shown all adding to the aged charm & character of the set. It's of traditional form, relatively plain in design yet elegant in appearance. The jug & bowl feature attractive top rims which display well still. The original stand is present with tall central handle & supported by four charming small ball feet. Birmingham produced by Davies & Powers, circa mid 20th century. The sugar bowl measures a charming 10.7cm (4 & 1/4 inches) in outer top diameter by 50mm in height; the jug measures 14.5cm (5 & 3/4 inches) handle to spout end, 10.4cm (just over 4 inches) in outer top diameter by 75mm in total height to the top of the handle. The stand itself measures 18cm (7 inches) by 65mm by 18.5cm (7 & 1/4 inches) in total height to the top of the loop handle. A lovely strawberry set ready to be collected & enjoyed once again!
