On offer is this lovely vintage three piece tea set comprising a teapot, creamer / jug & sugar bowl. They're in good condition overall, the remaining silver plate shines up well still - notable areas of ware over them however exposing the base Britannia metal (dark grey) as well as light scuffs & scratches commensurate with age; there are also a couple of shallow dents here & there which catch the light & deeper scuffed areas over the teapot but as shown all adding to the aged charm & character of the set. They're of traditional rounded form, beautifully decorated with the same etched floral themed pattern which displays ever so well still. The teapot also retains its original bakelite style handle which shows a dark brown color. The inside of the teapot is clean however has extensively darkened all over. & the insides of the creamer & bowl shine up well - there are couple of darkened specks of ware in places. Unmarked for a maker - English Made EPBM to the bases -, circa second quarter to mid 20th century. The teapot measures 28cm (11 inches) handle to spout end, by 16cm (6 & 1/4 inches) maximum outer body diameter, by 15cm (6 inches) in overall height to the top of the lid finial. The creamer jug measures 13.2cm (5 & 1/4 inches) handle to spout end, by 9cm (3 & 1/2 inches) in overall height. & the sugar bowl measures 15cm (6 inches) handle to handle end, by 9cm (3 & 1/2 inches) in overall height. A lovely tea set which despite the condition issues raised is ready to be collected & enjoyed once again! The postage quote is for a Royal Mail / courier tracked & insured service.
