On offer is this lovely vintage four piece set comprising 1 x teapot, 1 coffee pot, 1 x sugar bowl & 1 x creamer / milk jug. The remaining silver plate shines up well still - notable areas of loss however to each piece exposing the base nickel silver (brassy tone) as well as notable deeper scuffed & scratched marks which are visible on display; numerous dents to each base edge resulting in them appearing out of shape; one handle pin has also been replaced / repaired but as shown all adding to the aged charm & character of the set. They're of traditional form, beautifully decorated with banded lines & stylized handles which display ever so well still - both the tea & coffee pots retain their original wooden handle. Please note both finials are replacements / not original . Both insides - tea & coffee pots - have extensively darkened with silver plating loss & stubborn staining. The inside of the sugar bowl shines up well & there notable areas of loss to the inside of the creamer / jug. Each piece is marked the same for the maker Walker & Hall of Sheffield, date letter for 1936 (there's also an additional date letter on the teapot for 1954). The tea & coffee pots have a maximum capacity of 1 & 1/2 pints. The sugar bowl measures 13.2cm (5 & 1/4 inches) handle to handle end, by 9cm (3 & 1/2 inches) by 8.8cm (3 & 3/8 inches) in height. The creamer / jug measures 11cm (4 & 1/4 inches) handle to lip end, by 7cm (2 & 3/4 inches) by 9.5cm (3 & 3/4 inches) in overall height. The teapot measures 20cm (8 inches) handle to spout end, by 12cm (4 & 3/4 inches) by 15cm (6 inches) in overall height. & the coffee pot measures 18.5cm (7 & 1/4 inches) handle to spout end, by 10.7cm (4 & 1/4 inches) by 17cm (6 & 3/4 inches) in overall height. A lovely set which despite the condition issues raised is ready to be collected & enjoyed once again! The postage quote is for a tracked & insured service.
