Description
Part of the Cristillium range made by Conrah Metal in Wales in the 1970s. I believe Ronald Hughes was the designer. The aluminium has a black coating in this case & the condition is just about perfect apart from a couple of tiny (0.5-1mm) nibbles to the surface on one side that show up under bright light & scrutiny - photos seven, eight & nine - & a bit of light surface scuffing near the rim - photo six. The pristine diamond cut pattern has an atomic age feel & looks clean & sparkly against the black . A nice piece of modernist design. Has label on the base reading Conrah Product, Made in Wales Measures just over 20.2cm tall & 5cm wide. Mid Century Conrah Wales, Anodised Aluminium Vase
