Description
A good sized studio pottery vase with heavy scooped out vertical incisions & light chevron patterning, two bands of foamy brown & cream glaze toward the rim & the base & a light grey/white narrow band of light bubbling around the middle. It's an accomplished piece with a bulbous, slightly asymmetrical profile & lots of weight. It could be a West German piece, but there is no mark. Definitely looks at home in a mid century pottery line-up. The only issue I can see is a glaze flake - photo eight - which I think is manufacture related, as there are a series of these glaze pocks in a band -photo nine - though this one is the largest at 4mm across.
