Lighthouse & sailing boats coastal scene made from Cornish beachcombed finds including sea pottery, sea shells & sea glass. This unique piece of recycled coastal wall art is set inside a 24cm square (17cm aperture) glass fronted box frame. Frame available in grey or white. What is sea glass & sea pottery..? sea glass is broken glass that has been discarded into the sea to be tumbled in the sand & surf until all its sharp jagged edges become perfectly smooth & its appearance beautifully frosted. It's a little bit of nature's magic - who knows how long these pieces have been tumbling around in the ocean or what their original use was & I think this adds a little mystique to each piece I make. Sea pottery is broken china that has been discarded into the ocean where it's tumbled in the sand & the surf until all the sharp jagged edges have been smoothed away to make beautiful sail shapes.
