Colourful pillow bolster cushion in a bright bold geometric zigzag woven in silver red yellow on orange made from vintage Japanese obi silk Limited Edition 2 Available 55x30cm 100% Silk Cotton Lined Zip Opening Fat Feather Pad included UK only As a Textile designer I have an extensive & growing collection of Rare Vintage Kimono & Obi Silks from Japan. Dating from the 70's, in good un used condition this stunning design has a bold geometric hexagon design woven in metallic silver, gold, blue, green, yellow & white on a satin silk orange background, it reflects beautifully in the light. The incredible ombre details of changing thread colour & pattern need to be seen to be believed! The reverse is a sunshine yellow new lush velvet. The amazing detail of threads on the inside means I fully line it in cotton to protect them & make the cushion more robust. It includes a hidden zip on the side & fat feather pad made in the UK. These silks were woven by artisans in Japan from another age, the workmanship & detail deserve to be appreciated in our homes today. I always whisper a thank you to the original maker before I begin re purposing them... A perfect item to refresh any sofa, bed or chair, Or a very special gift for a very special person.
