Etsy - Beccaillustrates Cushion - Cumbrian Dialect Numbers
Description
This gorgeous cushion is designed by me, based on Cumbrian Dialect numbers, using Herdwick sheep!! FUN FACT: Farmers only needed to count to 20 using this dialect, as when they were counting sheep, they would have a bunch of pebbles in one pocket, & when they reached 20, they would move a rock from one pocket to the other. Then at the end, they would just have a few pebbles to count (e.g. 5 pebbles would be 100 sheep) This saved them from losing count & having to start again! The design has been digitally printed onto a beautifully high quality Unbleached Organic Drill Cotton. Each cushion has been handmade in the UK. There is also a zip for you to take the inner cushion in or out. You can choose whether you would like to have just the cover, or the cover & the inner. If you choose for it to include an inner pad, the pad is filled with Duck Feather & Down. Please note this is the ONLY option for the inner. Designed by me in the Lake District Made & Printed in the UK. Design printed on one side, & plain fabric on the back. Cover can be cool machine washed. 40 x 40cm Please note: If you choose to purchase the cover with the inner, they will arrive in one parcel, but might be individually packaged. This is because the feather pillows have been suctioned to make the parcel as small as possible. Cushion - Cumbrian Dialect Numbers
