SILVER PICKLE FORK; antique pickle fork, Scottish silver fork, Pebble silver, miniature fork FREE SHIPPING. See specifications below. A lovely sweet antique silver pickle fork from the late Victorian to Edwardian era, circa 1900 to 1910. It is very small & has a engine turned pattern in the silver. It has inlaid agate stones of various types including Carnelian. This type of silver with agates is known as "Scottish Pebble Ware". It was very popular with the Victorians after Queen Victoria visited Scotland & acquired this type of silver in jewellery. This started the fashion for "Pebble Jewellery" in the Victorian era as well as decorative collectiables & ornamental pieces of silver ware such as this pickle fork. Please note: I now have a very nice antique box suitable for this pickle fork if you would prefer as it is much nicer than the new box especially if giving as a gift. I would not use it for a solid pickle as the prongs are not very strong at all. You could use it for pickle compote or any other compote type or olives. You could add it to your collection for the curio cabinet. Measures: Approximate length 9.2cm by width 2.2cm by depth 0.7cm. Measurements taken at the widest point.
