This is a beautiful simplistic bowl made from English Oak. This piece has stunning figure in its grain & a lovely colour. This product is handmade; the wood had been turned on a lathe, carved & sanded to give this finished product. This piece has several finishing stages. Firstly, a sealant is pushed into the grain, this stabilises the wood & gives strong, long-lasting protection. Secondly a fine grit mixture is applied including mineral oil, lemon oil, beeswax, rotten stone, & pumice, giving a velvety smooth finish. Finally, a layer of paste wax is applied to give a final layer of protection against fingerprints & water splashes. All finishes are food & toy safe.
