Large mid-century ceramic lamp by Jacques Pouchain / Atelier Dieulefit (circa 1960s). Spherical lamp base in Pouchain's signature cloudy glaze style with earth- tone hues. It is elegant with a contemporary motif surround of lines & geometric shapes. Stylish & very collectible. in good vintage condition commensurate with age. Maker's mark on base: 'L'Atelier Dieulefit'. About the Artist: Jacques Pouchain (1925 - 2015) left Paris & gave up his architectural training in the 1950s for the South of France to devote himself to art & his pottery studio at Dieulefit. Pouchain's ceramics have an international following & have been sold at several of the major auction houses.
