To get the highest & most realistic refraction effect, we have experimented with light placement & researched the path of light. We first intended for the lamp to be projected from the top (natural light), which is lovely & produces high light efficiency. However, doing so will reveal the unsightly power cord, & positioning the light will be challenging (no one wants their amazing lamp to show the wires above). When a light fixture is placed above, it also produces glare in the bedroom. Instead, we placed the light at the bottom, which isn't natural but is the ideal angle for the lamp to display its beauty.
