A very beautiful Victorian hexagonal side table on castors with turned legs & a lower shelf. This gorge ous table has been ebonised & painted with a Chinoiseroe design of birds & flowers. I would imagine this was done at the time rather than added at a later date, due to the style of the design. It is lovely vintage condition with a lot of dents & scuffing to the legs, all touched up & not detrimental to the look of the piece, which coukd be described as faded grandeur, or true shabby chic! It's extremely pretty & beautifully made. The brass studded detailing around the castors is wonderful. in solid, sturdy condition with no signs of woodworm, historic or recent..
