This is an amazing, large size montgolfire or bag chandelier made from bronze with a multitude of rivires of glass droplets. It dates to the 1950's & has elegant, hand crafted metalwork & a lovely ceiling fitting & chain. Inside, it has three bulb holders. A very rare find & a delightfully elegant chandelier. Measurements: Total height 38.1 inches (97 cm) this includes the chain & ceiling fitting The chain & ceiling fitting measure 12.2 inches & can be shortened by up to 5.5 inches (31 cm -14 cm) The chandelier without the chain & ceiling fitting is a total of 25.9 inches high (66 cm) Diameter 16.5 inches (42 cm) Weighs 10 kg before wrapping. Condition: in used vintage condition. With normal wear from previous use & the passage of time. Looking vintage & shabby chic, some wear to the droplets, some of which have become frosted over time (final photo). Slight distortion to the hand crafted metalwork. This chandelier is extremely heavy & this is reflected in the La Poste 15 kg shipping weight with non mechanised handling. It uses 3 x E27 screw fit bulbs (not supplied). A sturdy metal hook for hanging the chandelier (in the shape of an upside-down question mark) from your ceiling can be purchased from your local DIY store. Upon receipt of the chandelier you will need to unwrap each strand of droplets (now wrapped in tissue paper) & tease each strand back into place as they will loosen a little during transit. Two core vintage wiring with an earth terminal in the ceiling fitting. US & Canadian buyers can find bulb adapters on line to use E12 bulbs with this E27 fitting. Please search 'E27 to E12 adapter' You will require three adapters. They cost around 3 USD each & and are widely available on line. The adapters screw into place allowing you to then insert your E12 bulbs which will then work normally on 110v. Or you can ask your electrician to rewire to your country's standards. As with all used vintage electrical equipment, it would be prudent to have this item tested, rewired if deemed necessary & fitted in your home by a qualified electrician.
