Humppilan Lasi (1952-1986) was an independent middle size Finnish glasswork until it became a part of Arabia-Wrtsil concern (with Iittala & Nuutajrvi too). This Simpukka (Cochlea) candle holder bowl is typical example of Humppila style before melting to concern. Pia Kauppi-Lehtinen designed this beauty, & it was produced in 1982-86 along with other Simpukka series dishes. Simpukka items were made by using centrifugal molding technique. Measurements: Height 68 mm Diameter 105 mm Tealight diameter not more than 35 mm Weight 250 g Material: molded transparent glass with centrifugal technique This Cochlea is in excellent condition with no visible bubbles or mark of usage.
