All prices include VAT where applicable 19th century French mirror with a wonderful, sparkling old mercury plate, with dramatic foxing & wear creating a stunning look. Ebonised frame with an aged craquelure & some loss through age. Old hook & string still in place on the back. Dimensions: Height: 54.5 cm Width: 41.5 cm Depth: 4 cm (All measurements are approximate & provided as a guide). CONDITION NOTE Losses & wear to paint & frame. There is very heavy foxing to the mercury mirror plate. It has worn very thin & right through to the backboard in places. This is what makes it wonderful. Later ply backing board. Some woodworm holes are evident on the back - the mirror has been given a thorough woodworm treatment as a precaution. Please refer to all photos for details. This product is a vintage item & will show some signs of cosmetic wear/patina.
