This embroidery is done by women of Sodha, Rajput & Meghwal communities of Kutchh. Pakko, meaning strong, durable in Kachchhi, is characterised by its sturdy denseness produced by the stitching. Silk coloured embroidery onto a burgundy red cotton & silk slub backing. This product is bought directly from Kala Raksha, a grassroots social enterprise in rural Gujurat.
