'The 4A Windsor Kitchen Chair marked a turning point, the 4a containted the seed of everything that followed'. The Model 4a dates from the mid 1940's as part of the Utility furniture scheme, it was late in 1945 before the first Chairs came off the Production line, the Utility Furniture scheme stayed in place until the end of 1952 & the Chair Model 4a remained in production until 1953. These two Ercol Dining Chairs are well & truely Stars, I absolutly adore their wonky & rustic appearance, these are 70 years old & still sturdy, stable & simply beautiful. They are the first of the famous & timeless Windsor Range, Model 4a. The original blue Ercol Production Stickers are visible on both Chairs underneath the seat. Please take a look through the pictures to see all the details. Both Chairs have been completely refurbished. This soft rustic rose hue is bursting with warmth & vibrancy. Also the Paint is self sealing, water & stain resistant & cures in a beautiful matt finish. They are good condition given their age & with their makeover they look super modern. Structurally they are very sturdy. Ercol just proofes their fantastic craftsmenship. The Elm Wood is a WOW factor on it's own! Only two available of this rare KIND. Get them before they are gone ;)!
