Ariel Sculpture by Christine Baxter. We Had a student staying with us. She was from the US & studying at LSE. She agreed to sit for her portrait. I sculpted in clay. When I finished the portrait sculpt I decided it would look good with hair flowing back as if she were standing at the bow of a ship with the wind in her hair. So I then sculpted the hair later. Once I had finished she was cast into plaster for sanding & finishing. Then the final plaster has a mould made so that duplicates can be cast. -MEASUREMENTS - 42 x 45 x 23cm (approx) Cast using genuine Cotswold stone dug from the South Cerney Gravel Pits. This ensures a high-quality sculpture with beautiful colouring. -ABOUT THE ARTIST - Award winning artist, Christine Baxter graduated from Camberwell College of Art London, specialising in sculpture.
