Beautiful collectible Sascha Brastoff candle holder or vase. It's an unusual color that I can only describe as a greenish gold because in some light it looks a deep olive green & in other light it has a gold tone color. Its diamond shaped with geometric designs incised on the sides. Signed on the bottom Sascha B., it measures about 5 5/8 tall & 6 by 4 1/2 at the points. There's a paper tag on the inside that reads: Caution: Use only glass enclosed candle inserts. Keep wax free of debris. Do not leave candle burning unattended. Sascha Brastoff California Inc. Hawthorne, California. It's beautiful on its own as a wonderful work of mid-century art. I've used it with battery operated tealights & it casts a subtle warm glow & have also used it as a vase for silk flowers. Good vintage condition showing some wear consistent with age. Versatile piece of middle of the century decor. A bit of information I found on Sascha Brastoff is that he made decorative accessories, ceramics, enamels on copper, & plastics of his own design.
