An original vintage 'Cathy' lantern candle holder, designed by Frank Thrower & hand made for Dartington, Devon, England. The design originated in 1986 & is FT396, in an 'optic' ripple. It came from a series of 'Fast Ladies' candlelamps (Janie, Cathy, Sophie & Suzie - all pictured around the box). It's designed to hold a single tealight/nightlight candle within. The candle pictured is the original Price's unused candle. Simple retro design, flaring out in the centre with subtle vertical optic lines within. This example comes in its original box & maintains its original black label. The glass is 24% lead crystal, handmade/mouth blown in Dartington, England. Candle holder is 9.5mm high by 8mm wide.
