A great retro art glass vase... Commonly known as a 'Dalek' vase due to the funky geometric bobble/hobnail pattern. Made in Japan, most likely by Tajima Glass. It's a deep green at the base, which graduates to a more vibrant pure 70s green at the top. Internally it's cased with white opal glass, similar to cased Empoli pressed glass. Circa 1970s vintage - so typical of the time. A round cylinder shaped vase with straight edges. Pressed glass - the 3D pattern is rows of aligned round matching bobbles. A bit retro funky kitsch mixed with Brutalist/op art in style. Good condition with a teeny rim flaw (not visible) & a very small baseline shell chip. 21cm tall x 6cm wide.
