This cream onyx dish is a great functional piece, & would look just as good in a boho boudoir as it would as part of a minimalist, mid-century sideboard. The bowl comprises of a turned piece of cream onyx, into which a scooped bowl has been carved. The dish was most likely designed as an ashtray, but the deeply-cupped shape of this piece means that it also functions well as a bowl or candle holder. When turned upside down, the piece has a flat base, which means it can also be used as a stand or pedestal for a small figurine, candle or planted pot. Measurements... Height: approx 5cm Diameter: approx 14.5cm The dish is in very good condition, with just a little light discolouration to the inner base of the bowl (please see photos).
