This simple candleholder is bright & festive, & playful yet practical. The candle holder is formed of terracotta ceramic with a good weight to it. It is finished with a high-shine, red glaze. It comprises of a wide base with a handle, & one small, upright handle. On either side is a circular indent, perfectly sized to hold a tealight candle. The set includes two conical lids, which can be placed atop the tealight, acting as snuffers. The shape is ideal for used as a table centrepiece, & the bright & festive colour is perfect for Christmas. The set would be equally well-suited to storing & serving condiments, chutneys or seasonings as part of a zero-waste kitchen. Measurements... Length: approx 14.5cm Width: approx 7cm Height: approx 6cm The set is in good condition, with no notable signs of wear (please see photos). This style of pottery is usually associated with Morocco & North Africa, & has been produced for centuries. The greatest likelihood is that this set dates from the late 20th century, although the date of manufacture is not present on theis piece.
