In good vintage condition, this charming little stool offers a range of potential uses: from versatile seating options to small object or plant display, this smart seat will fast become one of the hardest-working items in your home. This stool has a wooden frame, & sits at standard seat height. The seat is lightly padded & coated in a sky blue vinyl, which is full of vintage appeal. Whilst the wood is structurally very sound, the varnish on the frame is chipped & weathered. The design & style of the stool is typical of a mid-century 'lab' seat, associated with school science laboratories. These are a popular interior design choice today, both for their industrial aesthetic & hard-wearing, practical nature. Measurements... Height: approx 41cm Width of seat: approx 33cm square This style of wooden seat was especially popular in the 1960s & 1970s, although there are no marks to confirm these details. The stool has been used for many years, & as such bears a number of scuffs & chips to the legs (please see photos). It also has some small, dark marks to the blue vinyl. Overall it is in very good shape for a vintage item, & perfectly useable today.
