Description
Hand turned medium bowl made of white elm wood from Southeast Minnesota. Handmade wooden bowl. This bowl is a natural edge bowl with bark left on the rim of bowl. The bowl has bark inclusions throughout. I was able to leave moss in the bark on the natural edge. The bowl also has chatoyant wood grain, wood grain that has curled back on itself due to stress & causes a wavy three-dimensional look that changes as the angle of the piece & the light change. The grain color & pattern are very interesting in this piece. Dimensions of bowl are 4 inches tall & 7 inches diameter. Finished with tung oil. To clean wipe down with a clean damp cloth. Do not submerge in water or put in dishwasher. (When cleaning be very careful around the bark & moss on the bowl rim. It is very delicate & can be easily broken off.)
