ROUND CUT Trees are our heroes! What material builds our homes, our schools, our hospitals & businesses & much, much more? Most of the time it's wood, lumber & it's renewable. It plays a huge role in our economy. There are other choices in building materials but trees are widely used to build humanity a home. Trees tell a story of how old they as every year they grow a ring & being able to smell the fresh cut of wood is marvelous sensation. Trees embrace animals who live in the forest by providing food & shelter. We've become dependent on these magnificent mass of wood bearing trees for jobs, woodworking, crafts, & the list goes on. Plus the simple pleasure to watch them grow & feel their shade in the summer heat. We're captivated by their striking colors of its leaves in the season of fall, & enjoy the natural sculpturing of the snow when it lands on the leafless branches. Trees are our heroes! When nature & human kind combine their art together they can create remarkable work. Trees give us wood to keep us warm, be carved into dishes, animals, people & the creative combinations of the two don't go unnoticed. Debbie's photograph of HEART CUT was inspired by log decks that exposed the ends where each tree was cut down. Debbie is a passionate & dedicated artist who puts a lot of emotional energy into her work. It's great that she is her own biggest fan & takes pride in what she creates. However, it's understandable that she may feel disappointed if her art doesn't receive the recognition she hoped for. Debbie needs to remember that the value of her art doesn't depend solely on how others react to it. Creating something meaningful & beautiful can be a rewarding experience in itself, even if it doesn't receive widespread recognition. & while it's natural to want others to appreciate her work, it's also important for Debbie to find joy in the creative process & to continue pursuing her artistic vision. It's also worth noting that self-doubt & questioning one's abilities are normal experiences, even for highly skilled professionals. It's okay for Debbie to have moments of uncertainty or to feel like she's the only one who appreciates her work. What's important is that she continues to push forward & create, knowing that her art has the potential to touch someone's life in a meaningful way. It's great Debbie had a positive experience using her skills as a photographer to help someone else. It's also wonderful that technology enabled her to complete the job remotely & save the gentleman time, money, & energy. He lived 500 miles away & it was winter. It's a testament to the power of technology & the opportunities it can provide for people to connect & work together, regardless of distance. Debbie's willingness to take on the job & provide a valuable service shows her professionalism & dedication to her craft.
