Japanese Kutani tea set, each with parcel-gilt design of Japanese women in Traditional dress. Kutani ware is Japanese porcelain made in the Kaga province (now in Ishikawa prefecture). The name Old Kutani refers to porcelain decorated with heavily applied overglaze enamels & produced in the Kaga mountain village of Kutani. Measured covered jar with two handles; covered creamer pot with wide spout; red marks to base Double handled pot measures approximately 5 tall x 6 handle to handle. Jug measures approximately 4 3/4 tall x 5 handle to spout. The set is in excellent vintage condition. The handle on the covered jar has a chip.
