Hello & welcome our Etsy store. This is a large gourd lamp with a classical or natural finish as we call it. A natural finish basically means that once the drilling & beading process are complete, we simply varnish the gourd & leave to dry. The transparent varnish will present & protect the natural look of the gourd which is like the look of wood. I put a particular emphasis on coloring as I love to consider my lamps to be more than a lamp & light but also a decorative object with lamp aesthetic. I believe my coloring technique & diversity is what seperates my work from many others & makes them modern decor objects as well as functional works of craft. However some people prefer gourds with natural finish so I make sure I have classical designs in our handmade night lights collection. From a technical perspective I find this particular decorative table lamp design is quite challenging as vertical designing on a gourd is always tricky. Completing the design with fine drilling work & lacing it with the beadwork is even more tricky. I would consider this modern gourd night lamp 'fine' myself. My lamps come with a wooden base complete with cabling, on/off switch & power plug suitable for your country. This additionaly means that they are portable. You can use them as a desk lamp & desk decor, as a lamp for table, as nightstand lamp or a night light lamp as you wish.
