You can put them directly on your table or tablecloth without fear of burning the surface because I created them with raised feet so that the candle itself does not come in contact with the surface they are placed on. The feet are glazed to prevent scratching of your tabletop. I glazed the underneath & cup with a beige, matte glaze & left the top unglazed in order to create that contrast of colors which I love so much. They can be placed separately on the table or close together. This item is handmade by me on the potter's wheel. This item is made from ceramic stoneware & is fired to a temperature of 1200 degrees celsius (2192 Fahrenheit). It is glazed with lead-free & food safe glazes & is ideal for use in the oven & microwave but not over an open flame. It is dishwasher safe. If the item is out of stock, I can make another one, but the new item may vary slightly in size. That's the beauty of handmade objects.
