Pretty teacup & saucer set made by Aynsley in the 1940s/1950s. The matching cup & saucer feature a detailed blue cornflower pattern & gilded edges. The circumference of the saucer & top of the teacup are a unique scalloped shape. This teacup & saucer have spent most of their life in a curio cabinet & are in excellent condition. Teacup dimensions: 2.5 tall, 3.25 diameter at the top & 2 diameter at the bottom. Saucer is about 5.5 in diameter. Teacup has a nice clear ring/ping. Tracking numbers provided with each order, & multiple orders can be combined for shipping. Why Doghouse Teacups? Legend has it that my grandfather would bring home a teacup & saucer set for my grandmother anytime he found himself in the doghouse. Several dozen sets & a lifelong happy marriage later, I'm rehoming these beauties in hope that they'll bring as much joy (or reconciliation?!) to their next household.
