This listing is for 1 mini-globe made from a print of a hand-illustrated design I drew of Palm Springs + Joshua Tree National Park area. It features hand-drawn landmarks & signs of the area collaged onto a print, I have sealed onto one of my handmade Mini-Globe/ Ornaments! I hope this will remind you of a few of your favorite spots out in this creative Mecca in the California desert. These are a great gift to commentate a road trip, for someone who lived or worked out in the area, an avid outdoors enthusiast, or someone who misses their home. What is a Mini-Globe? As I have previously not had these for sale on Etsy, allow me to explain! For 10+ years I have been making these mini-globes and/or ornaments using vintage maps, ephemera, books charts, & holiday ephemera & prints for sale mostly at handmade shows & market & custom made for wholesale shops across the US. I also make many of these hollow, paper pulp-molded decorations with custom maps or imagery of customers to commemorate a trip, their heritage, places of importance in their life, etc. Yes, they can be hung on Christmas Trees or decorative hangers as ornaments, but many people keep them as a decorative souvenir & they can be hung & displayed in a variety of ways. This larger size of my Mini-Globe/Ornaments measures approx 3.75 high by 3.75 wide & is hollow & lightweight - won't shatter. Hanging loop is made of twine or lacing (See color options in last image). Globe has 6 sides with individual images on it. Featured landmark drawings include Palm Springs signs & mid-century hotels, Mt San Jacinto & Tram, the infamous windmills, Dinosaur Park, Palm Springs Airport, Coachella valley, Joshua Tree National Park & more!
