Lucifer is one of the four crown princes of hell, particularly that of the East, the lord of the air, Venus, & is described as the bringer of light, the morning star, intellectualism, & enlightenment. The Sigil of Lucifer contains an x which symbolizes power in this physical plane. The inverted triangle is a symbol for water & the V at the bottom symbolizes duality . The whole symbol looks like a chalice which represents creation. Completely Handmade. Cut & carved from reclaimed wood. Finished with the ancient Japanese method of Wood Preservation (Shou Ban) by deep charring, taking all loose & excess carbon from the surface with a wire brush then sealed with teak oil, The sigil is then carved by hand, & the entire object is then waxed with natural beeswax & buffed to a lustre finish. This process, aside from giving a beautiful deep black finish, deepens the wonderful aged patina, with splits, knots the odd nail hole, & rustic carving technique makes this a beautiful tactile & charged item, with wonderful sense of age & heritage. It will accommodate a standard size Tea Light, standard tapered altar candle or your spare incense sticks.. & holds a single burning incense stick over the tray at the front making a perfect accompaniment to your altar or shrine.
