Proudly handcrafted in Canada with care & craftsmanship. This set includes a matcha bowl, tea cup, wisk holder & high quality bamboo wisk. Measuring roughly 5 wide by 3.5 tall. Dishwasher & food safe, but I do not recommend microwaving. Bamboo wisk is high quality, 100 prong. A matcha tea chawan is a traditional Japanese tea bowl used specifically for preparing & consuming matcha. The chawan plays a central role in the Japanese tea ceremony, also known as chanoyu or sado, as well as in the everyday preparation of matcha for casual enjoyment. The inside of this tea bowl is glazed satin black to highlight the beautiful rich green color of your matcha tea. The size of a chawan is also an important consideration, as it needs to be large enough to allow the matcha to be whisked properly & sized appropriately for the hands that will hold it.
