Description
This large, unique piece really makes a statement. It's a subtle riot of earthy textures, from the groggy clay body to the rough, incised pattern on the front & back to the chunky weave of the rope handle. The bottom appears to be signed D.J. Peterson 1969. The ceramic vase is 14 tall & about 7.5 wide at the handles. With the rope positioned up, the whole thing is 22.5 tall. The opening is about 3.25 in diameter. in excellent vintage condition, with no signs of damage or wear that I can find. The rope appears to have been burned lightly, likely a preservation measure.
