Modern ceramic plates made from black stoneware clay & glazed white on the inside. The outside has been left bare to expose the texture of the raw clay & create a contrast with the rest of the plate. Stoneware serving dinnerware to make every day special! The shape is slightly irregular making each plate unique. Size: D24-25cm x H1.5cm / 9.5-10 x 0.6 Every piece is glazed & fired at 1240oC, for extra strength & durability. Small differences in sizes, shapes & colors between the items may occur as they are all 100% handmade by me. Each ceramic product is formed individually by hand without using any molds & therefore have its own individual character, shape & imperfections. All ceramic materials are lead free & food safe. Care instructions: -All handmade pieces in my shop are made with stoneware clay & fired at 1240 celsius degrees, which means that they are durable enough to go to the dishwasher machine. However, I do no recommend it, because a strong detergent could harm the glaze on the plates over time. Hand washing is generally more friendly to handmade ceramic objects. -Unglazed clay surface is not porous but it is recommended not to have frequent contact with liquids such as oil or wine, because they can leave a permanent light stain on the surface of the clay. -It is also suggested that ceramic everyday objects (plates, bowls & cups) are not to be left with substances such as vinegar & lemon for long periods of time because this may lead to color alterations. -Avoid extreme & sudden temperature changes as it is likely to cause thermal shock to the pieces. All items are very well packed in bubble wrap & packing peanuts, inside a cardboard box to arrive safely to you. All shipments are done with Hellenic Post & the national postal operator in your country. This is the method that guarantees the best price & quality ratio. As I am a small producer I don't have a big stock of items. I aim to post in-stock orders within 1-3 working days. Small custom made orders are usually ready within 3-4 weeks. Buyers are responsible for any customs fees & import taxes that may apply due to their country's regulations. As far as I know shipments within the EU are not subject to customs fees & the US threshold for imports is quite high (around 800$).
