Chalkware Christmas Carolers Candle Holder Pair Star Japan This is a Wonderful Pair of 1960's Figural Chalkware Candle Holders in the form of Christmas Carolers. A Red Headed Girl wearing an Olive Green & Gold Gown holding a short Red Candle & a Boy with Brown Hair wearing a Red & Gold Gown holding a tall White Candle. Both the Girl & Boy are wearing Gold Shoes & have Blue Eyes & their mouths open in song. The Candles they each hold have openings where you can insert a one inch wide wax candle. Each Figure has a Red Foil Label to the underside that says, STAR JAPAN Hand Painted. Each Figure 8 3/4H x 3 1/4W x 3D - approximately 1 1/2 - 2 lbs each Condition: Good. Both Figures have been filled with sand by their previous owner which makes them heavy & also much more stable when they are standing on a shelf or table. Please Do Note that the Girl Figure does leak sand. The sand leaks from the top of the figure, not the bottom. So if you turn the figure upside down a small amount of sand may leak out. Both Figures have a lot of wax drips, Chips, & Nicks in the paint, & some areas of missing paint. You can see most of this in my photos. Please look & be sure Before You Purchase.
