Description
Presented is a fine quality English sterling silver stuffing or platter spoon from 1825. The handle has a monogram of BMB in elegant script. The spoon would have been used for serving stuffing etc & would be completely useable for any similar purpose today. This is a quite large & long handled spoon, very well constructed of heavy silver, & it would be an asset to any table or collection. The reverse of the handle is hallmarked with the lion passant for sterling silver, the leopard's head for London, the date letter k for 1825, the King George III bust duty mark, & the maker's mark for John, Henry & Charles Lias. The spoon is in excellent condition. There are no splits, no breaks, no monogram removals, & no repairs. The spoon is approximately 12 inches long.
