Presented is an antique, German silver creamer & sugar bowl for a tea set/service made by Simon Rosenau of Hanau during the late 1800s or possibly the very early 1900s. The sugar bowl is done in a nice basket form, with a swing handle. Both pieces are decorative, with rounded panels that are hand chased & engraved with flowers & leaves. The underside of each piece bears Simon Rosenau's hallmarks. The pieces are guaranteed to be at least 800 purity silver. The creamer measures 3 1/2 inches from handle to spout & is 2 3/4 inches tall. This set is in excellent overall condition for its age. There is minor surface wear commensurate with age & use, but no damages & no repairs.
