A wonderful bright pair of earrings from the late Victorian period. The earrings have absolutely beautiful, bright white paste gemstones set into silver claw settings. The paste are so clean & bright, they truly have the sparkle of diamonds. The earrings have dormeuse fastenings that are 18kt gold (marked on the inside of the fastening with 18K) & the silver settings are also backed by gold. The gold has a pretty rosy tint to it, complimenting the silver & paste perfectly. These earrings are a lovely solid quality & look beautiful when worn. Details: Materials - 18kt Gold (marked), Silver, Paste Age - C1900s Size - The earrings measure approx 26mm long to the bottom of the drop. Condition - Very good. One of the 12 paste stones has a tiny chip to one side, another has a little scratch to the surface. Both not at all noticeable & only visible through 10x magnification.
