This item is a bit of a mystery to us. Heavy & well made it has two doors on the back which are held into place by springs. Almost making it appear to be something like a flower press. Alternatively it may be a restaurant menu holder or a photo frame... We would appreciate any input on identifying it. Makers mark / hallmarks: none Sourced: in Normandy, France Origin: French Age: circa 1920's (possibly older) Materials: wood, glass Size roughly: 30.5 x 24.5 cm - 12.2 x 9.8 inches Condition: in vintage condition with signs of previous use, really nicely made item, some little scrapes to wood, felt has shrunk or worn slightly on the inside & is a little discoloured, still a very strong, solid & functional item Weight: 2.1 kg (so expensive to ship internationally I am afraid.
