From is a local estate comes this lovely Christmas ornament I believe is from the Old World Christmas ornament line. Based on the star shaped metal piece on the top, I believe this beautiful figural ornament was made in Germany by the Inge Glas company. This is a fabulous little figural ornament of a zeppelin or blimp. I love it. More on this company: Large Zeppelin was introduced in 1990 by Inge-Glas of Germany for Old World Christmas as part of the Transportation Collection & features the exclusive 5-Point Star Crown. This unique glass Christmas ornament has been lovingly handcrafted by the talented Inge-Glas artisans in Neustadt near Coburg in Northern Bavaria using centuries-old glassblowing techniques. Large Zeppelin was mouth-blown with clear crystal glass, coated inside with a layer of fine sterling silver, & hand painted using only the finest lead-free paints, glitters, & decorative materials. Large Zeppelin was retired in 1994 so availability is limited. Old World Christmas was the exclusive distributor for Inge-Glas ornaments until 2000. in good preowned condition, this is free from damage or repair. Priced according to condition. This would make a lovely addition to any collection & will display beautifully this holiday season.
