A Large Victorian Painted & Panelled Pine Country House Larder Hall Robe Wardrobe A large Victorian painted & panelled pine county house larder, hall robe or wardrobe. The large wardrobe is made from pine & pitch pine so it is pretty heavy. The wardrobe has then been painted in a sage green & has a clear wax finish to it. The wardrobe is formed with it having two full length doors each set with fielded panels. The handles on the wardrobe are bronze tear drop shaped pull handles. To either side the wardrobe is set with four raised & fielded panels. Opening the wardrobe it has a panelled back. It has a clothes rail & hooks fitted giving great area for clothes to be hung. The base of the wardrobe is a moulded plinth, & the top also has a moulded edge. The wardrobe doors lock, but the key is a newer replacement but works fine. The wardrobe dates to 1860-70, & was recently removed from a country house where she had it as an entrance way hall robe. The wardrobe doesn't split down. Size Height 83.75 Width 48.75 Depth 24 Condition The condition of the robe is excellent, it has been repainted in the same as the original colour. We have then given a clear wax finish to it. The moulding on the top is also a replacement as the old one was badly damaged. Overall a great sized robe ready to be used.
