A Quality Early Victorian Inlaid Rosewood Octagonal Bevel Edge Wall Mirror A quality early Victorian rosewood octagonal bevel edged wall mirror, inlaid with mother of pearl & silver stringing. The mirror is made from rosewood which has a great colour & grain patination. The mirror is formed with the frame being octagonal in shape with cantered edges. The mirror is inlaid to the front with alternative panels of four mother of pearl round dots & then a panel of two mother of pearl round dots with silver stringing between them. On the cantered edge it is inlaid with a mother of pearl roundel & then silver stringing, this is seperated by a plain panel. The mirror is circular & bevel edged. The mirror has a great look to it & is a great size. The back of the mirror has an old board screwed on. The mirror dates to around 1860. Size Height 17.25″ Width 17.25″ Condition The condition of the mirror is excellent, just been repolished so is ready to be hung & used. It probably originally was a clock dial frame but has been altered very well, there is a slot in the back where it would have originally locked to the case, but no way to tell from the front.
